I. Introduction to Program
HFUT has signed a "2+2” bachelor double-degree joint agreement with University of Birmingham, and program will recruit 10 outstanding sophomores every year from the majors such as Mechanical Design and Manufacturing and Its Automation, Industrial Engineering, Aircraft Manufacturing Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, Energy and Power Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering to study at University of Birmingham for junior and senior academic years. After graduation, they can obtain bachelor's degrees of original major of HFUT and Mechanical Engineering of University of Birmingham. The first enrollment of this program was completed in May 2018, and students have gone to University of Birmingham for study.

II. Admission Requirements
1. IELTS 6.0 or above, and individual test not less than 5.5; or TOEFL iBT total score above 82, spoken English not less than 21, others not less than 19; or four PTE academic English tests all not less than 51;
2. Pass the interview and evaluation by the Evaluation Committee of Partner Education Program.
Ⅲ. Introduction to University of Birmingham
University of Birmingham, founded in 1825, is the Top 3 top university in the UK. In 2017, it ranked 84th in the list of world universities issued by QS, and the discipline of Mechanical Engineering ranked 8th in the UK in 2016.
University of Birmingham has been recognized by the world for its high-quality and multi-field research since its establishment more than a century ago. Outstanding alumni include the British Prime Ministers Stanley Baldwin, Neville Chamberlain and Robert Anthony Eden, Nobel Prize winner Francis Aston, inventor of mass spectrometer, famous Chinese geologist Li Siguang and “Two Bombs and One Satellite” father Yao Tongbin. By the end of 2016, University of Birmingham has cultivated 11 Nobel Prize winners, 3 British Prime Ministers and 3 heads of foreign government.
